Grenada 7 Day Sailing Excursion

Day 1: Port Louis Marina to Dragon Bay

Your Grenada itinerary starts at Port Louis Marina. From here we’ll sail north along Grenada’s lush coastline to Dragon Bay, one of the island’s protected marine areas. Dragon Bay’s colorful reef is known for diving and snorkeling.

Day 2: Dragon Bay to Tyrell Bay

Today’s sail is approximately 6 hours s we head north from Dragon Bay, keeping the coast of Grenada on our starboard side and passing tiny Ronde Island. We will continue north until reaching Tyrell Bay on Carriacou. Moor or anchor in the bay and head beneath the waves to see golden moray eels, nurse sharks and turtles swimming along the magnificent corals.


Day 3: Tyrell Bay to Salt Whistle Bay

This sail is approximately 3-4 hours. This pristine tropical bay and its beach are protected from rough Atlantic waters by a small piece of land that extends out into the ocean. Charming bungalows on the breathtaking Salt Whistle Bay, Mayreau, which National Geographic called “Paradise Found” and Conde Nast Traveler listed as a “Top International Beach.” Spectacular, unspoiled views of the turquoise reefs, amazing snorkeling and stand-up paddle boarding and a world-class kitesurfing beach, all on site. Drop anchor in Salt Whistle Bay and head ashore. Hike to the top of the hill for breathtaking views from the Catholic Church or relax on the white sand beach.


Day 4: Salt Whistle Bay to Tobago Cays

A short 1 hour sail to this paradise. These Cays are a collection of several uninhabited islands in the southern section of the Grenadines that offer some of the best beaches for swimming, tanning and snorkeling in the Caribbean.


Day 5: Tobago Cays to Sandy Island

Cruise north through the Grenadines, past Palm Island and Union Island to tiny Sandy Island. Floating majestically just off the western coast of Carriacou, Sandy Island is a perfect stretch of sea and sand, perfect for a desert island getaway. Head for the rich diving waters of the marine protected area on the western shore and enjoy snorkelling and diving amidst colourful marine life.


Day 6: Sandy Island to St. George, Grenada

An exhilarating five-hour sail south, passing the delicate string of Grenadine islands to your port side, takes you to St. George’s, Grenada. The picturesque capital of the Caribbean, St. George’s is a perfect place to launch from for an island tour. Explore lush rainforests, tumbling waterfalls, pristine beaches and beautiful hiking trails throughout Grenada, the Island of Spice.


Day 7: Return to Port Louis Marina

On the last day of your Grenada holiday you’ll make the short journey from St. George to your starting point of Port Louis Marina. Use your extra time to relax and sample George’s of Grenada’s delicious cuisine at a local restaurant, or take a walking tour of St. George’s from Market Square, taking in the lovely old buildings, Carenage Harbor and a bustling collection of shops and cafés dotting the narrow streets.
